General Information

Antazoline is an antihistamine drug that can be bought over the counter as an
ingredient of a variety of topical preparations. Eye drops containing the drug
are used to relieve irritation caused by allergic conjunctivitis. The drug is
also applied to the skin in the form of a cream for the relief of itching and
irritation caused by insect bites or allergic rashes.

Adverse effects from the drug are rare. Continuous use for longer than a few
days should be avoided, as there is a risk of allergy developing with all
topical antihistamines.
